If you're from Louisiana, chances are you're pretty familiar with Nicholls State University. Chances are you also know about the mascot controversy thats been going on for two years now.

For those of you that don't know, The administration decided to abolish the Colonel mascot, Tillou, because some thought it depicted a Civil War-era Colonel. Even though it was not a Civil War depiction, it still offended many. Years of pressure from activist groups finally paid off (for them).

It's been two years this April, and still no mascot. The students, alumni, and community are still outraged that this issue has not been put to rest. This petition is for anyone who went to this school, knows someone who went there, or just wants to support NSU!
