Not nearly as good as "The Stoned Age" but it's okay.

I liked The Stoned Age but they were two entirely different kinds of movies, they were just set during the same time period. One of my favorite parts of The Stoned Age is the giant eyeball the kid sees at the Blue Oyster Cult show (and continues to see at certain points throughout the rest of the movie). It brought to mind one of my favorite Drive-By Truckers songs, "Let There Be Rock", which starts with these lyrics:

Dropped acid, Blue Oyster Cult concert, fourteen years old,
And I thought them lasers were a spider chasing me.
