If your thinking about a run down to the Caribbean look no further than St Kitts. We got away from the lock in of the Marriott and ventured out. Met up with a local by the name of Shabba who was tending a beach bar at the Angelus resort. We made small talk and after a couple of hours and ??? many rum swizzles the crew invited us to Sugars night club where he said every local gathered each Wednesday night for Karoke.We told him we would consider it and went back to our hotel.
My wife and I felt comfortable with him and all the others so we figured we would give it a go.
We hailed a cab outside the Marriott and boy are we glad we did. We got there at about 7:30 and did not leave until 3:00. Singing karoke with the locals sent me back to my table singing "I have found me a home" We stood out like the proverbial tourists that we were but they took us in and to this day (11 months later) we communicate via email and phone calls.
