I watched the Fenway DVD again yesterday and noticed while on stage with the babe curse Jimmy was hitting Lefty. Also in the DVD he is seen throwing at Fenway but appears to be right handed. Anyone else notice this?

lefty or righty

I was watching the dvd before attending softball practice so I do actually get out from time to time. I wont say its time out for good behavior though LOL

Yep, but it's not all that unusual.

My son is a lefty, but he bats right-handed. My Dad is right-handed but bats and plays golf and hockey left-handed.

A lot of baseball players throw righty and hit lefty.

my Dad says that's as it should be.... that the power hand (in theory, your dominant hand) should be on the bottom of the bat....

I wonder if that's why most hockey players shoot lefthanded? The power hand (right) at the top of the stick, the equivalent of the bottom of the bat.

There's already been a poll to determine what hand he pees with so don't go getting any bright ideas.

That's what Dad says. (And since he was the Captain and left-winger for Boston College when they won the hockey national championship in 1950(?), I'll take his word for it. :D )

I'd give my right arm to be amphibious

I'm a lefty, write left handed, throw left handed, bat either side, kick a ball with my right foot and shoot a gun resting on my right sholder and play a right handed guitar. I try to do as much with my right hand. I remember a time not long ago that I had to do lots more with my right hand after having surgery on my left hand. We all should probably learn to use the other hand more.
