Dear me. No, people have made different choices with their money. It has nothing to do with being wiser. What a snobbish, not to mention arrogent statement.jbfinscj wrote:No one is here is a snob, they are just a little wiser with their money then you.
You really don't mean that do you?

Wow did you just pull a sound bite out of what I said. Here is the whole text:

Cut the guy some slack already. Maybe he took it a little too far, but I agree with him in that the original post here was a little bit sanctimonious. it kind of sounded like a football fan who gets in the middle of a discussion about seat locations with the lame "I've got the best seat in the house, on my couch in front of the big screen" garbage. and then after his team loses, instead of taking it hard, he praises how he has family that is so much more important in his life than the results of any game. Of course your family is more important to you than a concert, if financially it is any question at all, then you have no business even considering it.
And what was that I'll miss 20%, maybe 40% of you. I am guessing it was a backhanded way of saying the tired old, too many drunks, too much partying, I am all about the music BS. If you don't like sand, stay away from the beach.
And while I am at it. Enough with the ticket prices. Boo freaking hoo, ticket prices went up a little bit. LAWN SEATS ARE $45 PEOPLE!!!!! $45 for the event I look forward to more than anything else all year long. You can barely get a cheap seat at a baseball game for $45. Forget about an NFL or major college football game. A $45 ticket to see Jimmy Buffett may be the last great bargain in the world, and everyone is whining about it. And to the inevitable, "I would rather miss the concert than sit on the lawn" response, I have one thing to say, You are a snob, I'm not going to miss you.
NEXT.....What is up with people today? It is not the $45 ticket everyone is upset about, it's the tickets that cost over $100.00. Just for the record I could have afforded the ticket very easily this year...HOWEVER I have seen Jimmy multiple times and for the most part the show is the same every year. If you don't believe me, go out and purchase any or all of the "Live in" CD's that he has been releasing. No one is here is a snob, they are just a little wiser with their money then you. With that being said, I don't think anybody cares who you are going to miss or not miss this year. I am also guessing that you enjoy having beer spilled all over you while sitting up in the lawn. Learn how to talk to people and show a little respect. Anyone else want to get me started today, because I am on a roll.
At no time was I ever talking about you. I`m surprised that you even made reference to that post. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

He was talking about how HE doesn't want to pay to see him. I was saying I would.
"EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION....THIS POST IS A JOKE! LAUGH AT IT!"
I kinda prefer to let people judge for themselves if they find it humorous. I'm guessing you didn't.

I just noticed how you agreed with my observation about it being selfish at first and now it's changed to you trying to make a joke. In any event, it's no big whoop but that "more tix for me!" thing, when meant seriously is something I see as BS.

The original intent was actually both as a joke, and as a "here we go again".
When I came back and found myself "under attack" (I know that's a bit strong, but you understand what I'm saying), I decided to defend the content of the post.
Sorry if you misunderstood.

Just to make this thread a lot longer with quotes, I might add...
