Toilet Paper

Post by Tiki Bar »

I managed to do something I don't think I've ever done before... we ran out of toilet paper in my household! :o  Well, not completely... there were 2 squares left on one of the rolls!

I realized we were down to the last 2 rolls - 1 upstairs, 1 downstairs - last weekend. But we left town, then I was back to work, and forgot all about it until last night, when my husband called down to bring toilet paper upstairs! :o Whoops! There was enough on the downstairs roll for us to get by last night, and I left the house at the crack of dawn, no pun intended, to avoid catastrophe! (We did have facial tissue had we needed to use it.)

Sadly, this is not an April Fool's post!

This is a frequent occurance at my house. It seems that all of my sons friends use my bathroom thruout the day and when they're surfing, etc. It has gotten so bad that they often come to my house and give me gifts of tp, which I suspect they are stealing from school or portapotties

One wife + three girls (9 ,7 and 3) = no toilet paper.
No warehouse club will ever stock a "megapack" large enough for our home.

My ex boyfriend ran out once while I was visiting. Since then, I always buy the 36 or 48 double roll packs and "hide" the last 4 rolls, which would last me a couple of weeks.

I keep two rolls on top of the tank in each bathroom and when those are the last rolls I put the empty cardboard roll by my wallet and keys, that's been working very well. I guess I'm a bit...............retentive.

And did you buy it at . . . nope, not going there.

We never run out. Sometimes both of us buy it when we are shopping so there's always extra.

Oh, we run out all the time... it's a plague in our household

It just stinks when you run out in a particular bathroom and nobody's home, leaving you stranded with noone to bring reinforcements :o

I feel your pain. I have one wife+two teenage daughters (16 and 14) and agree with you about megapack. I buy one 24 roll pack for the upstairs bathroom and another for the downstairs bathroom. The emergency supply is a box of puffs on the back of the toilet. I've been forced to use this a couple times.

Regretably, it has happened more than once in our household. :(

Bounty may be the "quicker picker-upper" but it is not an acceptable substitute for Charmin'. :-?
