I'm not sure I'd want pork if it's face was still attached. I'd rather eat it in one of it's many unrecognizable formats.

This reminds me of a pork incident I had once.
The first time I lived on my own and went grocery shopping I bought ground pork thinking it was ground beef.

Not even Hamburger Helper could save me.

I still have no idea what scrapple is...
When you're done butchering the hog, the floor sweepings is what you use to make pork sausage. When you're done making pork sausage, you sprinkle some cornmeal on the floor (just like the stuff janitors sprinkle on puke in school hallways) and the next generation of floor sweepings is what you use to make Scrapple. (Use everything but the squeal...)
Anybody can do it.
Lotta people like Scrapple with maple syrup, but I prefer ketchup and hot sauce.
(Just like my scrambled eggs.)

Fresh side pork is the same cut and sliced just like bacon
but is not cured (no salt, sugar not smoked)
it is dredged in corn meal and fried..

I do not care for it but it is a treat for my Dad, sooo
when we go camping he brings enough for two days of breakfast.
I cook it and eat it but I really do not care for it.
Ketchup
