It is great to hear Greg "Fingers" Taylor on the Hoot Soundtrack. Greg did a great job on this project!

I talked to him on the phone not long ago and he is on some of the songs.

Now, that's what I call "O" fficial information from a reliable source.

I just put my ear up to a conch shell, thought I heard the ocean but it were Jimmy. He said it really is Fingers on the soundtrack.

I do hope it is.

Well I guess when the soundtrack comes out, we can check the original liner notes and find out (if he's credited).

In another thread, Tom Ball said he played on some of the Hoot soundtrack, but not on the songs, and there's clearly a harp on the rerecording of Floridays, so it was still an open question about who the other harp player was. This would seem to answer the question.

(And yeah, the liner notes should put the question to rest for sure.)

Just to clear things up....a lot of people have been asking me and yes....it is definately Fingers Taylor playing on the Hoot soundtrack....he recorded it at Mac's studio...

Come on jah! KD and Greg have gigs scheduled together all year and talk regularly. With the exception of Greg or Jimmy themselves, nobody is a more reputable source than KD on this subject !

Thanks Z-Man....We actually had to re-schedule a few things so he could record with Mac last year....there is also some talk that this may have been recorded in the 80's and re-mixed for the soundtrack...once again not true....
