Nope....I am proud to say my daughter (BFC) is starting to follow a close 2nd to her mom....she tells me how she cranks his music in her dorm room

Plus...she really likes the tailgaiting
we just have a young man who's into that yelling Rock to remember how he used to like Jimmy too
My family, well....they pretend to get it to make me happy

But your parents put up with a bunch of BNers last year so I rate them as pretty cool

Elrod and I are.
My BIL I would consider more just a good fan now, his concert days are pretty much behind him. He often plays Buffett when we go over to their house.

Well, since I'm single I have to say yes.
My Mom actually will listen to Jimmy when I play his music and she always watches him if he's on the Today Show or anything like that. She thinks he's cute

and his affiliation with the SMC raised him to a new level in her eyes.
My Dad will never get it.
My Sis in Law is a Parrothead, not like me but I'm working on her.
My bro will never get it either.
My niece and nephew were exposed to Jimmy pretty early on by me, and they request to listen to him in the car and will even sing along. Not bad for a 4 1/2 and a 3 year old, and they've been doing that for a couple years now.

Yes I am the lone parrothead but then again it is just down to hubby & I.
And I do think he is jealous that I can find happiness in being a parrothead. I converted 1 friend who now goes to concerts with me. Hard to find any in my town of Lower Burrell, Pa.....but I know they are out there because things are gone from local stores pretaining to JB.
Let me know if there are any of ya out there...

I was converted by a couple friends 11 years ago. They have either moved away or gotten married and had children so they aren't as "into" it as I am now. I have put several of my friends "on the path" in the past 5 or 6 years as well as my Mom, although none of them are really embracing the lifestyle or music. My Mom was thrilled by his duets with Alan Jackson and Martina Mcbride, since she loves both of them, but only her and one other person I know have a CD in their car. I have several, many of them personal mixes. None of them go to BN, or really care what Bubba's doing as long as he plays a show here. To use the stages, most of my friends are around stage 3 or 4. As I'm listening to RM as I type this, I'd have to say I'm a 9. However, as we all get older I'm thinking they may start to find the lifestyle more appealing. If not, that's ok too, cause we'll all enjoy the shows together, and if I need to get my PH freak on, I'll just go to BN

Kaitlynn (11) loves "Hokey Pokey" and Autumn (5) loves Volcano (cause the words are easy)

When my daughter was younger she knew most of the words to all the songs as it is mostly what she heard...
She loved Jolly Mon the most..because she could say "Hell" and not get in trouble...
Glad she never listened to closely to "West Nashville Grand BallRoom Gown"...

Yes I'm the only one in my family. Wife don't care for the music and my teenage daughters listen to pop music.

well.. let's see...
Folks were to the CMH 2004 concert and had a good time. Get some of it, but not all that well.
Cousins who claim they have always wanted to see Jimmy in concert and how cool it would be, but only if he is in their backyard/they have more than 6 months to plan the exact date, and as long as it doesn't conflict with kids/pets/other family issues ...
Nieces hae the Parakeet Album, and know the words from what I hear, but that slowly undermining my sister's "Thumper" routine is a long-term insidious goal rather than an immediate "Come To Jimmy" moment..
Now.. there is a very pretty redhead who is part of the family who does get it.

I am the lone Parrothead. My kids... I use to use his music as punishment for when they would misbehave in the car (10 -14 year/olds) I would say.. settle down or I'll put some Jimmy Buffett on... (Nooooooooo!!!!)
But I think my oldest son is begining to see the light and wants to go to a concert with his mom... (hmm... might cramp my style a little bit!!) My daughter, i have hope she will come through eventually, she likes everything I do EXCEPT Buffett! She rolls her eyes.
The men in my life... they humor my obsession. They find me amusing and eventually do like the music but never become true Phans.
I compare being a parrothead to being a "skier". You either get it or you don't. Trying to find a parrothead who happens to ski isn't all that easy but its kinda fun looking!!

I am not the lone parrothead, just a pre-eminant one.
My wife is a PH and BNer.
My nephew is a PH and BNer.
Many of my cousins are PH's....Lonnie and Craig rival me for the title of #1.

Does this mean that you are eligible for participation in the "BN Dating Game"?

Since my wife has been going to see Jimmy ever since the 70s when he played the litle clubs on Sixth Street in Austin, I have to say I am not the lone parrothead in the family.

I am the lone parrothead in my family, unless you count my two dogs and their hawaiin print colllars and leashes.
Whenever I tell my mom I am going to another concert, she is always like, " Are turning into one of THEM? Oh, what do you call them?" (referring to parrotheads).
Thats ok by me, I just work on converting more and more of my friends.

Thankfully I can very proudly say I have never tried to "convert" anyone. That not only holds true for Buffett but all of the bands and artists I listen to. Sometimes people simply don't like the same artists you're into and that goes for Buffett as well. I'm quite alright with that myself. I've never felt the need to convert anyone into a fan. Now, "introduce them to", I'm ok with that but it's not going to break my heart if they don't like it.

I definitely "fly" solo as a parrothead. My wife actually cringes whenever I put on JB.....except a few cuts from Far Side of The World which she enjoyed.

Yep, I'm the only one who would say I'm a parrot head, although it was my wife who got me into this in the first place. She enjoy's the concerts, the music, etc... but doesn't get it, at least like we do.
The keets, 17,15, and 14 think I'm just nuts. They just don't know

when they see it...
