Yep, my hubby very kindly accompanies me to one concert per year. But he wouldn't really qualify as a parrothead....

Thankfully I can very proudly say I have never tried to "convert" anyone.
Wow, that does kinda make it sound like I'm a conquistador crusading to convert the native heathens to my God. Chalk that up to a poor choice of words. I'd never ditch a friend just cause they don't like JB. I think the word "convert" popped into my head cause after I was "introduced" I really took to the music, and the man. I've never actually tried to purchase all the albums, cause I like to occasionally hear a "new to me" song and then discover that particular album. It's been a wonderful on-going process for several years. Alas, I don't personally know anyone else who is really excited about the Buffettverse. That's why I come here

So if you're the solo PH in your family, I sympathize. If you're not, count your blessings and relish the experience of being able to enjoy the music with others of a like mind

I am the only PH in my family but Iam currently working on converting my boy friend, and it seems to be working. We just came back from the Keys and we are going to Jones Beach in July , he is very excited.

I am the only Parrothead in the house. My husband is not very tolerant of it anymore. He thinks I am obsessed. He thinks I don't listen to other music. Not true. I used to be able to talk him into going with me but he refuses to go to another JB concert.
I don't have any friends who are PH either. Used to be that I could talk a friend into going to the concert with me but non-fans do not want to pay for tickets anymore.
It's a sad lonely world here in WI. I need new friends, gotta keep the husband.

But I think my oldest son is begining to see the light and wants to go to a concert with his mom... (hmm... might cramp my style a little bit!!) My daughter, i have hope she will come through eventually, she likes everything I do EXCEPT Buffett! She rolls her eyes.
The men in my life... they humor my obsession. They find me amusing and eventually do like the music but never become true Phans.
I compare being a parrothead to being a "skier". You either get it or you don't. Trying to find a parrothead who happens to ski isn't all that easy but its kinda fun looking!!

I'm a BIGTIME Paorrothead and a skier to boot!!!!
Almost like inland surfing!!! OH YEAH!!! THAT"S CALLED SNOWBOARDING!!! (My GF does that)!!!
