I think it was an A&E interview where Jimmy was doing a walking interview through NO and stopped the reporter to say "that's where I lost my virginity".

The NOPHC used to have a "Parrotheads Walking Tour of the French Quarter" mapped out. I will have to see if I can find my old notes.

"and look kids, there's the room where I violated your mom for the first time" has to be a great story.

Heck, there was one video segment where Jimmy actually went into the old bedroom and patted the bed and said...yep, right here is where it happened.
I'll look through the old videos, but Q&S, I also thought it was during the A&E program. He was walking around and talking about Elvis and King Creole.

My husband rolls his eyes every time I just have to stop some place like The Dew Drop Inn.

You are referring to going to the apartment on Ursuline?? Or other types of pilgrimages?
Would you go on the Trails of Margaritaville Tour in Key West?
I think it's fun to go to the places Jimmy talks about like the Dew Drop in Mobile, the Camellia Grill in NO, and the Varsity in Atlanta to try the burgers.

Hey... The Dew Drop makes great burgers.

Every year, new folks go with Candy and I to eat there. (and they (the DDI staff) were nice enough to provide a t-shirt for the Christmas Quilt Candy made for me last year.

) Powell and the crew at the DDI will get at least one chance to feed us every time we go to Stars.

Now, I'm gonna have to read that book by Nikki Wood and see about that reference to the "lose your cherry place."
Which fishing lodge do we need to find...the Lost Boys' Camp?

Time to use that useless knowledge i have. It was on an A&E program called "In Concert". Jimmy was playing Margaritaville N.O. for the opening I believe and promoting the "Fruitcakes" album and they did a mini tour where he talked about his time there. Yes it showed the building and unless i'm mistaken he said he was 18 and it was prostitute and showed the room with a big proud smile. Why i remember this i don't know....but i remember laughing about his tell all at the time.

It's true that at my age it can be fatal. But hey, if she dies, she dies.
