I was crusing the web earlier and found JB's "Who's the Blonde Stranger" video on CMT.com and was wondering if anyone had / knew of any other sites that carry ALL of his music videos. They are very enjoyable and very comical at the same time. Gotta love that 80's style!!

You can get that video and others on the
Tales from Margaritavision collection. Unfortunately it's only available on VHS and not DVD but there
is something can be done about that. Visit
http://www.buffettremasters.com for contact info so we can let the powers that be know we'd like to see this and
Live By The Bay made available in the DVD format. There is also a campaign to get his back catalog remastered and reissued with all of the artwork restored. Some unreleased bonus tracks would be nice too.

Thanks for the info...I'm guessing no one has the videos online to view similar to the people who have all the concerts available. Sometimes it doesn't get any better than some classic Buffett...wouldn't it be awesome to have a video of the shows where "You had to be there" were recorded?? Now THAT is something I would pay top dollar for!!

It is ok for CMT to post the videos but if they are being traded by fans, that's illegal since these videos are still commercially available (even though the format is admittedly outdated).

That would be very nice but I'm not sure if any of those concerts were filmed. What I'd really love to see is an expanded reissue of that album with some unreleased tracks since I'm sure lots of stuff was recorded that didn't make the final cut.
Maybe when Buffett quits trying to figure out how to market himself through everything but the music (overpriced Margaritaville blenders anyone?) we'll begin to see some stuff like that.

sigh... There are so many Buffett related music products that are out there waiting to be made. The CD reissues, the DVDs of not only Tales and Live by The Bay, but how about another full concert instead of the teases like Mini Matinee and the bonus DVDs that came with Live in Hawaii and Fenway?
Also, how about a nice rarity collection... There are fans out there waiting to be satisfied and good money for Buffett to make in selling tracks like Abandoned on Tuesday, Please Take Your Drunken 15 Year Old Girlfriend Home, Turning Around etc. that haven NEVER been released on the CD format. A nice live boxed set that digs into the archives from his entire touring career would be neat to, similar to Springsteen’s Live 1975-85. It would sure beat the heck out of Mailboat’s repetitive “Live in” series where the same songs keep repeating and all the versions sound the same.
But instead of all that we can just look forward to another “Live In” 2 disc set with another cheap “bonus DVD”, another Down To Earth/High Cumberland Jubilee compilation (Lord knows how necessary they are!) and an upgrade of the Margaritaville Blender.
