April 2000 in Vegas, I was at the show :D The next show was in Hawaii and Fingers was gone. If memory it is also the same show Mac left the band, albeit briefly.

How does anyone know if this reggae cut of Floridays wasn't cut back when the "original" Floridays album was cut.
It would be GREAT to have Fang back in the band, but i'm not getting my hopes up!

I highly doubt that it was recorded back in the 1980's. If that was the case why did Jimmy ommit certain lyrics and yes I know technology would allow you to remove a portion of the song. I am sorry, but I am sure that the song was rerecorded recently. Now with that being said I am not 100% sure just yet that it is Fingers on the album. Heres hoping though.

Almost correct...they were in New Orleans for the Club Trini CD release party and JazzFest when Fingers left the band in May 2000. Fingers was in New Orleans, but did not play and announced he left the band on May 13, 2000.

Hmmm...nice news re. the new Floridays track. My bet is it's a new recording since Buffett was in the studio (Oct/Nov) to record tracks specifically for the Hoot soundtrack. The harp may also be an overdub (added later) so there's nothing to show Fingers and Jimmy have been in the same room together...but just having Fingers perform on the track is a nice sign.

Perhaps this explains the tour name...since the Eagles have already done "Hell Freezes Over".

Even if he isn't part of the full tour, it sure would be sweet to hear Fingers play onstage with Jimmy again. It was great hearing him play with the rest of the Coral Reefers at the MOTM street fest last year.

Guess we'll just have to ask him when we see him in a few weeks in Bancroft, MI.

I know the tour name has already been dissected to death but I'm pretty sure he was thinking of Key West when he came up with it. Makes sense to me anyway.

I'm interested to hear the title cut.
