I went to DCI when it was in Buffalo some years back at the Bill's stadium. Walking down the tunnel onto the field was something else. I wasn't competing but my sister was and I helped with the setup. Took 2nd or 3rd in their division for the whole country!
Just a tiny 40 man group at the time, but it was so cool watching the likes of Phantom Regiment and Madison Scouts with 150ish (iirc).

What's the name of my local Rosemont team? (I think it's Rosemont - IL anyway - a former powerhouse if I'm not mistaken)

i love dci! i was band geek of the year my senior year of high school and did rifles during marching season....
the show in houston is a fund raiser for my old high school. for 10 years my parents were the people you called to order your tickets for the show. our dining room turned into a ticket office for most of the year but we always had front row, 50 yard line, second deck seats at rice stadium for the show...
cavaliers have got to be my favorite corps....

Think I'll make the trip to Appleton to see this when it's shown. I noticed that DCI is in Madison this year too! Maybe I'll be able to squeeze that in
