after 3 years with a pair that was almost welded on.
I now have a new set of earrings
they are are much larger and
I need to take them off each night,
but after 3 years of a "live in" pair
the best I can come up with is an
old wine glass..
any ideas? I only have one pair so a tree or
holder is kind of silly..

can't help you.. the diamond stud and the hoop stay in my ear even when I am sleeping.
I have a great flamingo shot glass that was sent to me by some great BN friends.
It sits by the computer and that's where my earrings usually end up---I empty is out about once a week.
A Wine glass sounds fine. I have a smallblack laquer Russian box that I keep many of my often worn jewerly peices in.

I have a small wooden box that has a velvet like bottom that I use to put my jewelry in at night or when boating or what-not. It lives on my nightstand and has a slightly stiff hinged top so if it gets knocked over everything stays in side. I used to use a shot glass but it managed to get knocked onto the floor one to many times causeing the need for an all out earring hunt
no advice here. I have a terrible habit of taking earings out wherever I am or leaving them in and taking them off in my sleep. I lose earings all the time.

The only earrings I ever wear are the diamond studs my honey gave me; I only take them out to clean them or to have the settings inspected yearly to keep the insurance valid.
I agree that you might want something that closes firmly, so that you aren't sent scrambling if they get knocked off your bedside table or dresser.

I usually keep mine in my ear (I wear a semi-small silver hoop). But I do have a small wooden box I bought somewhere on vacation, it has a sliding top, and room enough to keep a few extra earrings in...
It looks similar to this... (mine is not decorated at all, just plain wood)

I keep mine an old cigar box. Except for the one I am wearing at the time. Which these days is an Orca. I'm just about ready to change it again. Just gotta figure out which one I wanna put in. The Apple? the Palm Tree? the Diamond? maybe the peace sign. There's more but this ain't my thread.
You seem like a shot glass kind of guy to me, Santa. I like that better than a wine glass (which could get knocked over and broken, and collect more dust). Or, if you've got any kind of tropical decor, use an old clam type seashell....

the wine glass is a very cool one with a green stem and
it's from the last Prune festival I attended
but I do have an old Yukon jack Shotglass..
