I've seen him live many times but always with his bands. This tour is being billed as James Taylor and A One Man Band which is basically him and one other guy so I'd be interested to know how good it was. I've read some reviewes from previous shows and so far the response has been great. Hopefully he will make his way up to New England with this tour but as of today Buffalo and Pittsburgh is as close as he coming.

I have seen him a number of times at Great Woods and he puts on a great show. Last time was during the summer of 2001 and it started pouring, luckily we were in the pavilion. In front of the stage there has always been a flooding problem when it rains and that night was no exception. JT notices that people in the front few rows were taking off their shoes and rolling up their cuffs. So he finally tell every one up front to put their shoes in stage. A few people did at first. Then all of a sudden it starts to thunder and lighting. It was so bad that after one of the songs the band walked off stage. After a few min JT walked out on stage alone, and told us that that the fire Marshall has ordered the show stopped until the storm ended and that if you are on the lawn to go back to you car for you safety and you would be let back in after the storm passed. He then walked back off for about 15 min. He then came back out to give us an update of when the show would resume. At this point the entire front of the stage was covered in shoes. The show finally got restarted and it was a great performance. I though it was great that JT himself came out and told us what was going on, I don't think may stars would have done that.
I later found out from a friend who worked at GW that someone got injured on the lawn when the lighting struck.
