Just means you haven't found the right program. On the bright side.. the first two years are univerally a grind.. just get the basics out of the way, and move on into what you want to do

I spent several years teaching at a community college. I was amazed that so few of my students had ever heard of Jimmy. It was my job to enlighten them. 8)

And that's what I love. He's able to have his opinions and beliefs and stick to them without running his mouth about it constantly. I'm pretty liberal, but I get sick of celebrities that think just because they are famous they are knowledgable enough to discuss politics publicly, and even more sick when they decide they know everything and are in the position to talk politics. Having the ability to be a mouthpiece doesn't mean you have to be, or that you should. Too many celebrities on both sides of the political spectrum refuse to see that.

I'm just happy Jimmy can bring people of all walks of life together, and allow us to forget about political tension and debate, despite the best efforts of celebrities, media and politicians. I think the ability to leave that off the table and come together for love of music is a beautiful thing that we are all very lucky to have.
Agreed, wholeheartedly from the other end of the political spectrum.

My first year here, I had an english prof. that was as big a phan as I am. It only took like 3 days of class for her to realize my entire summer attire consists of concert t-shirts, and caribbean soul, and margaritaville shirts. So she put it all together and from there on instead of my name, she called me parrot head! Of course we had to explain it to half the class... Last semester a friend of mine told me that her science prof. (not sure what exactly he taught) was a huge phan and talked about Jimmy in class everyday!

I'm still waiting to get into the independant study of Parrot Heads that UNCW at least Used to have...

My daughter's Fifth Grade teacher seems to be a bit of a phan herself. Rock was going around singing 'Quietly Making Noise' while walking laps after lunch and Mrs. W recognized it.

She's said she will allow an excused absence for 6-5-06 (the day after Charlotte) as a 'cultural experience'.

This woman also has lived in Bali, Jamaica and New Orleans (among others)....sp even if she's not a fan...I think she might just 'get it'. (Great teacher to!)
