Paying Federal: $1124
Paying State: $28

The company that handles our benefits and payroll had my profile listed as single-1, but my W-4 still showed married-1, so not enough taxes came out all year. It HAS been corrected for next year.

We have TONS of deductions this year. Donated a buttload of furniture and household goods (like, enough to furnish a small house), plus deductions for the kiddos, child care, etc.

It's how we are paying for a new sprinkler system, fence, and flooring for our kitchen (hasta la bye bye pepto pink floors!!!).

4 couches. 6 dressers. enough dishes and pots and pans for an entire kitchen (including flatware). 3 coffee tables. 6 lamps. an entire child's bedroom set. a crib. 8 bags full of clothes, 5 bags/2 boxes of toys. a plant stand. ummm. i know there is more, i'd have to grab my receipts to remember though.

we had this stuff just piled in our garage and right after katrina happened we took it to the salvation army who was asking for donations such as ours. it worked out handily.

and, unbelievably, we STILL have too much stuff.

My wife owns her own business, too. It's because of that business that we get so much back!!!
