That reminds me of a friend who's little girl was into jacks. My friend's husband played jacks w/ his daughter a few times and ended up really getting into it. He'd have championship games w/ his daughter and her friends; it was hilarious.
My HS honors English teacher had a standing bet with anyone in the class for a "jacks" challenge. If you beat her, you got what she called a "bonus A." I never played her, but one kid in the class did and he beat her. His name was Justin. I can't remember his last name.
