Caffeinated Beverages

Post by Tiki Bar »

Have we done this one?

How many caffeinated beverages do you drink a day?

I'd say 1 = 12oz, no matter what your poison. I do know they vary in size and strength, but for all intents and purposes, this works.

I hadn't had any since 1/27/06... had a small coffee this morning from McDonald's, cuz it's free coffee Mondays, and I'm all kinds of freaking out!

OOOH, I live on Iced tea but have developed GERD and one of the things I have been told to decrease/cut out is my caffeine intake so I am using up the cartons of tea bags I have by using them along with decaffeinated tea bags.

By the way, do not develop GERD-they tell you to eliminate the following:

caffeine
carbonation
mint
chocolate
alcohol

MUST have the 16 oz coffee at Wawa in the morning (if I'm home, it's Maxwell House Extra Dark with a couple drops of Kaluha  ) and "prefer" to have a Coke in the afternoon (my coworkers tease me about it  . )

By the way, what is GERT? Us that like "re-gert-jitation"?

1-2 cups of coffee in the morning, which is cut way down from what I used to drink because of a bleeding ulcer I had a while back. No soda, even caffeine free, and about the only juice I drink is cranberry from time to time. I pretty much live off water.
Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all..

Yes you do!! I know my husband was up to a 6 pack easy, but he may have cut down to 4ish per day, which is still too much.

Before my self imposed ban, I'd have an XL coffee in the morning, which is 24 oz or more, and then sometimes another 2-4 cola's, depending on if I ate lunch and / or dinner out. I have mostly water now, with an exception of a sprite or de-caf rootbeer now and again. Or a bunch of rum and juices like last night!

I have to watch my caffeine intake.

At first I thought I'd DIE. Now If I have more than one cup daily I'm wired.

It's the coffee that gets me.

I have 2-3 cups every day.

I don't drink sodas that much.

I rarely drink soda, but I have to have a cup of coffee at work or I'm not quite human.

One might say I'm unpleasant without caffeine.

Varies between 2-8 caffeine beverages a day. Usually 2 cups of coffee and a "few" pepsis.
