Have you Hugged your Jimmy today??

So last year I went with my bestest friend Casey to Jimmy at the Pond in Anaheim and sat second row! Our original seats where almost behind the stage and at the last minute before going into the show a friend gave us these amazing seats. We had the best time, drinking, dancing and singing like crazy, all about 10 feet from Jimmy himself. Casey and I never thought our "Jimmy dreams" could ever get any better........... until last Thursday night in Irvine, CA.
:P :P :P
WE MEET JIMMY BUFFETT...... Casey and I got a chance to go see the movie premiere of "HOOT"...the screening was for a VERY limited number of people and we ended up in the 5th row. Well before the movie started Casey's friend Heather pointed out Jimmy off to Casey's right side by the exit and she barely peeped out a "Hi" and waved and he totally smiled and waved back! Then at the end of the movie when the director introduced Jimmy he made the "Fins" symbol and we did it back and he pointed at us and totally laughed. After that Buffett performed three songs. We thought the night was over after his mini-performance but NO! We then busted ass up to the front and my friends all got autographs but stupid me, I had nothing for him to sign, but Jimmy found $20.00 on the seat in front of us and signed that for me.... kinda neat I thought. Then we asked for a hug and GOT ONE!! And then he said "You three girls are crazy fans and having the most fun!" And we told him we would see him Saturday and he replied with "See ya Saturday" (which I hope we do!) I'm still shaking. I am in utter amazement, and complete shock. Oh. My. God! :P :P :P

(Thanks Casey... I got the good tickets last year and then you did this this year, but we will see what tickets I get us for this show on Thursday and Saturday, you might owe me again!!) :P :P :P

:o How bizarre!!! Well, there's $20 that won't be circulating in US currency!! Very cool!

I watched the screening from IL, and the camera did keep showing a group of very enthusiastic girls... wonder if that was you??

Congrats, and thanks for sharing!! :D

*sigh* Makes me want to squeal like I was 13 again!

I'll have to make do with seeing him from 19 rows back (which believe me I"m NOT complaining about!)

Was it everything you thought it would be???

(Wow I REALLY need to find a new BF!)

Many moons ago I was having lunch at the one in KW, and he strolled in, sat down, played for about 10 minutes with an acoustic (no singing), then wandered up the back steps...

Hey everyone....I'm the Casey CaliKrin was talking about. It was an amazing night and I can offically die a happy woman. We knew the screening was going to be alot of fun but to actually get the attention of "THE ONE" was mind-blowing. Just asked CaliKrin....i had the shakes for about 3 hours and it brought me to tears.

Someone mentioned they were showing three spazzing girls on the feed to the other theaters.....that was us. They pretty much kept a camera on us for the majority of the show. (If it was two blondes and a brunette....one was wearing a green and pink hawaiian shirt that was me. Im curious if we could buy a copy of it) It was soooo HARD not to get up and dance.

I want to say HI to everyone. I use to post here under a different screenname (so did CaliKrin) but with school/work I had to say goodbye to this addiction. I can feel the itch coming back though.

BTW Whos going to Irvine on Thursday and/or Saturday?

Glad everyone liked my story... I used to be on here and post things every once in a while but meeting Jimmy and with the concerts getting closer I started missing my daily Jimmy fix... I am happy to be back!!

And as Casey said, does anyone know where we might be able to get a copy of that night??? The camera guy was on us for a while and if they showed that I would love to have video of it to remember the night, not that I could EVER forget it.. Let me know if anyone knows anything on that... THANKS!!! :D :D :D
