Well, Jimmy called it. Here it is I may as well start the internet discussion.

In the pre-show interview tonight live from Arizona, Jimmy said this year they will be featuring songs off a particular album for each of the shows this year.

Let me be the first to say,
"What a wonderful idea!!!!!!!! Love it, love it, love it!" Cant wait to hear all the shows!

Any other thoughts?

It just makes me want to go to all the shows. I don't know if 4 will be enough.

I like the idea in theory....but with my luck I am going get stuck at a show featuring an album I don't hold in high regard......that would be very disappointing. Even more so because it is only one show this year for me.

Wish he'd announce what albums would be featured at what shows. It would curb some of the stress/wondering, or if its something like High Cumberland Jubilee (which has exactly two songs I can stomach)...I could work may way into accepting it before I get there.

And yes, on things like this I am a pessimist.

Greatest idea ever. I don't even care which cd he plays at my concert. I'm just thrilled that we won't hear the same setlist night after night. Seems like this would be the answer to all of our prayers. I forsee some "Migration", "Jimmy Dreams" and a whole closet full of songs we have all begged to hear.

I am really digging this idea, each will make each show unique.

I don't think Jimmy remembers anything from HCJ.

Hmmm...sounds like he just played a few studio songs off "Fruitcakes" during the intermission of this show. Does the featured album actually influence the show's set list, or is it just introduced and played during intermission?

Good question...Ill take Cousin, but out of all the times to play it he has to wait until the horns are gone?

and it'll push sales of the individual "live albums", probably across the board (except for the "Down to Earth" and "High Cumberland" shows...)

That is what I was wondering. I thought he said four VIDEOS would be played at each show.

:pirate: I like the idea, of course we all have our favorite albums so I hope the Pittsburgh show features one of my favorites. In any case this will motivate me to listen to more of them live this year on radiomargaritaville

I really like the idea of having an album being focused on every show...the only draw back is that if the Nissan show is his night to cover "Off to see the Lizard" or "Hot Water" then I won't be as happy as if he coverd "A1A" or "Havana Daydreamin'". It keeps you on the edge of your seat...and I guess we can start doing the process of elimination as the your rolls on. I LOVE the idea though!!

PHINS UP!!

Buffett barely even acknowledges the existence of that album and Down to Earth so I doubt very seriously he would ever do the same in concert.
