I doubt very seriously that Don't Stop the Carnival is considered a proper album either.FINSUPinIdaho wrote:I hope my night is not DSTC night...that would s*** as bad as that album

I'll get it started, in no particular order:
Wind Beneath My Wings
Feelings
Memories
Hit Me Baby One More Time
Opps, I Did It Again
OPP
Ebony & Ivory (duet w/Nadirah)
What A Girl Wants (Tina & Nadirah doing the first song after intermission like they did with Respect 2 years ago)
Feel free to add your own choices.
Maybe we can get William Hung as a guest musician...LIPH wrote:How did I forget that one? But then we have to add She Bang
Fountains of Wayne and guitarist extraordinaire Richard Thompson both do very excellent covers of this song.LIPH wrote:Opps, I Did It Again

I doubt very seriously that's gonna happen since it's the title track to his new album that's due in October.Bora Bora wrote:Personally I thought for the most part the set list last night was pretty darn good. That being said Jimmy made the understatement of the year when he said we were brave Pirates to sit there and listen to the brand new song "Party at the end of the World". The song is awful and by the look on Jimmy's face after he sang it he knew it bombed. Let's just put that song back in the can and seal it up....for good.
what about some Celine? Gotta add My Heart Will Go On to such a spectacular list.Lightning Bolt wrote:CaptainP wrote:La Vida LocaLIPH wrote:Since he does a lot of covers, how about an all cover tunes setlist?

I always expected the Party at the End of the World release date to be December 21st, 2012.Jahfin wrote:I doubt very seriously that's gonna happen since it's the title track to his new album that's due in October.Bora Bora wrote:Personally I thought for the most part the set list last night was pretty darn good. I remember the bad reviews and moans & groans about LTC, but give it timeBora Bora wrote:Personally I thought for the most part the set list last night was pretty darn good. I'm not questioning the writing on Don't Stop the Carnival, I'm saying it's not considered a proper album since it's a musical adaptation. That doesn't rule it out from being one of the featured albums but it's also not in the same category of his actual album releases, it was more like an experimental side project.jbfins wrote:Jah - I consider DSTC to be one of the best examples of his writing ability.
no...LIPH wrote:I think he should replace Southern Cross with Wind Beneath My Wings
