. .thank you . . ! !

. .I can't help but wonder what keeps Jimmy from just throwing up his hands and saying . .

. . " F' it. . I'll just go fishing. . ! ! . .then they can make up their own set lists. . .! ! "

I vote for Fishing too!!! A couple of years ago there was a story in Sports Illustrated about Jimmy fly fishing for tarpon. I had to get a copy of it. The lady at the counter gave me an eye full of nasty ju ju when I went to pay for the magazine.... of course it just happened to be in the Swim Suit issue too  :D

I bet he could wrtie a great book of fishing stories.

That being said Jimmy made the understatement of the year when he said we were brave Pirates to sit there and listen to the brand new song "Party at the end of the World". The song is awful and by the look on Jimmy's face after he sang it he knew it bombed. Let's just put that song back in the can and seal it up....for good.
I doubt very seriously that's gonna happen since it's the title track to his new album that's due in October.
I always expected the Party at the End of the World release date to be December 21st, 2012. :o

Ok...I am probably the only one who gets it...
For some reason I'm thinking of Darren Daulton
Think Mayan...

Loved it all. Nice to hear some of the old stuff again. Brings back good memories of concerts of years back.

Loved the mix.

Loved the new song. It wil be hard to sing along without the lyrics to the new PatEotW song.

How was the quality on the Sat Radio? Wasn't too good on the RM feed.

For you. On the other hand, we had hoped to hear that one in Charlotte (but considered it a long shot.)

Unless a person is paying for a private show....let's face it, we are going to hear songs we don't especially like but the person next to us loves and vice versa.

You didn't like the show...don't go see him again.

Paying for a private show doesn't guarantee everyone is going to hear their favorite songs.

You can pay extra to request a certain set list.

It couldn't have been too much better... sounded garbled and tinny.

No Worries!

The way technology is going, in about 5 years you’ll be able to order up your very own Virtual Jimmy Buffett Concert! That’s right phans! You can pick your own set list, venue, band members, singers and what songs you want Fingers to play on. The beauty of this is there will be no more bitching, everyone get’s what they want, and because all the music is copy protected, Jimmy still gets millions of $$$$$ to go fishing

Perhaps but that doesn't mean people aren't going to hear songs they don't like.

But the guy who is paying will!

Unless he's an idiot, and requests songs he hates. I know people who would do that....

WOW, I am surprised at the negative comments on the set list. I was there, the place was rockin' and the music was great. I had to pinch myself a few times to remember that it is an treat to see Jimmy perform live. And having songs like Delaney and Desperation Samba played thrilled me. I love that I know all his music and was happy he played for us "real" parrotheads -- not just the new ones with all the country songs from last year.

I don't like the Peanut Butter song, but so what?? I loved 98% of it. The video was great, the old concert clips he showed after the show was over, all of it.

I'll be figuring out a way to go to anohter show, now that I know what his base "set list" is.

There. One satisfied customer.

Did you hear Jimmy saying that for each concert he would do cuts from a different album? Last night it was FRUITCAKES. Tomorrow night it maybe A1A......

I think cuts from different albumns for each concert is an awesome plan of attack against the cranky people.

Personally, I think the setlist from last night is cool......I say let the man play what he wants, its his music!!!!! We don't have to pay $126 for a ticket, we could stay home and listen to CD's, get drunk and screw. :o :o :o

.... stepping down from soap box now

I'm referring to the entire audience that has helped pay for the private concert being unable to decide on a set list that will please everyone.
