Buffett Jackson & Walker

Well its been a spell since I posted on these walls. Maybe it's my unhappiness with the annual TicketMesster scramble for Jones Beach tickets. More likely it's been a personal focus on the music of Todd Snider (New Connection/East Nashville Skyline), once heralded on COBO as the successor of JB. JB fans could never possibly allow that to be .

I decided to do my own Back to the Island test. I listened to License to Chill for the first time in about a year. It held up reasonably well. But then I checked out the following. Boats to Build (Guy Clark) JB and Alan Jackson duet cover v JJW version from Cowboy Boots n Bathin Suits. Granted it's subjective, but JJW has heart and soul and truth in his version and them other fellers ain't got it.

Don't get me wrong, if I can cop tickets to JB @ JB I B there, but for the first time in 20 years I can honestly say, no biggie if I can't.

Personally I am really excited about JJW being at MOTM this year. I never thought I would get to see him play live. And I REALLY didn't think I would get to see Buffett and Walker play together. Of course it doesn't say that they will, but I can't imagine that they wouldn't play some songs, and tell some stories together on some stage that weekend.

I thought it was funny that JB and AJ covered Boats to Build which I first heard from JJW. I like JJW's version better.

Now JB and AJ cover Barefootin' which is also on Cowboy Boots and Bathing Suits. I like the JB/AJ version better.

Do you think JB and AJ will cover Gringo In Belize next??? :D
