Topless was right... it was One Particular Harbour (Yeah!) and he even picked the songs right, except-- he didn't do Stars on the Water! Loved the JB version of the Mamas and Papas CA Dreamin'. Also weather, it was a great day Thursday and an excellent evening. They are going to be COLD over there tonight, tho'!
You see, Jimmy blasphemed the Marine Layer. (He called it smog.) We had had weeks of nice sunny mornings, except for actual rain days, and then he went and maligned the ML, and the very next morning... it came back. (It is not supposed to come back until June!) It's still here! Always speak respectfully of the ML, or it will come and get you!
Bet he does something fairly recent, like Far Side, tonight.

It would be neat if an entire set was an entire album in it's original sequence, like Elton John did for Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.

I couldn't agree more. I always thought it would be cool for a band to do a, let's call it re-tour, of a past album. i.e. Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon or several others too many too mention.
I've got coastal confessions and a few more, how about you?

None, apparently. Many thought it would be Coconut Telegraph, but the only two songs he played off that was CocoTel, and Weather is Here.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Okay...so I'm confused (which sometimes happens very easily)...so the "featured album of the night" deal -- where there are already more albums to do than shows -- lasted only the first two shows?? :o :-? I guess the only thing predictable about Jimmy is he's unpredictable. :)

And there was no Jake, and it rained...just another sh!tty day in paradise....maybe Jimmy burned out from all the rehearsal time.

Apparently the featured album was SYKBH - check it out.

Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre - Irvine, CA
Party at the End of the World Tour
Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band
Saturday April 22th, 2006

Featured Album: SYKBH

HOT, HOT, HOT

1. Boat Drinks (Acoustic - Jimmy solo) -- SYKBH
2. Coconut Telegraph
3. California Dreamin’
4. It's Five O’clock Somewhere
5. Pencil Thin Mustache -- SYKBH
6. Grapefruit, Juicy Fruit -- SYKBH
7. Come Monday -- SYKBH
8. The Weather is Here
9. Floridays
10. Cheeseburger in Paradise -- SYKBH
11. Changes in Latitudes -- SYKBH
12. Why Don’t We Get Drunk -- SYKBH
13. One Particular Harbor

-Intermission-

14. Knees of My Heart
15. I will play for Gumbo
16. Window on the World
17. Son of a Son of a Sailor -- SYKBH
18. Bank of Bad Habits
19. Volcano -- SYKBH
20. Desperation Samba
21. Southern Cross
22. Margaritaville -- SYKBH
Encore

23. Fins -- SYKBH
Band introductions
24. Another Saturday Night

25. A Pirate Looks at 40 -- SYKBH

Only one he failed to play from SYKBH was "He went to Paris"
To me, playing 12 out of 13 songs from an album makes that a featured album.
For years I've been plugged into blenders and songs.

I really hope he does feature an album at the shows. It was nice anticipating and guessing what he might feature.

I'm going for Far Side of the World for San Francisco.

He could show that video. Yes!

Maybe he'll play Altered Boy for the first time ever.

Second Guess is Last Mango In Paris...he can play Last Mango In Paris or If THE Phone Doesn't Ring from the Live by the Bay VIDEO>

Last Mango In Paris
MCA - 1985

1. Everybody's on the Run
2. Frank and Lola
3. Perfect Partner
4. Please Bypass This Heart
5. Gypsies in the Palace
6. Desperation Samba (Halloween in Tijuana)
7. If the Phone Doesn't Ring, It's Me
8. Last Mango in Paris
9. Jolly Mon Sing
10. Beyond the End

Jimmy, I would most love to hear Perfect Partner.

I recalled Jimmy doing He went to Paris as the final encore Thursday night in Irvine so I checked the set list & sure enough, he went 13 for 13 on playing songs from SYKBH. So I guess the "featured album(s)" that night were One Particular Harbour and SYKBH.

Just a guess... but I dont think SYKBH, MMIM, BBB&B are albums Jimmy is featuring.... Those songs are gonna be played anyway...
