New Error Message?

While I'm not a newbie, I'm still a rookie at the posting game compared to some on the site.

I posted in the general discussion area, then went in to wish Amy Lee a Happy B-Day and got the following message:

"You cannot make another post so soon after your last; please try again in a short while."

Not upset by any means, just never seen this before. Is the server getting too crowded headed into a concert?

Just curious. and I've just gotta wish Amy Lee a Happy Birthday.

not sure why that happens, but I occasionally see it. and sometimes the message gets posted anyway!

I get those when the boards starts 'double posting'....I guess it's a timing thing to prevent that from happening. Chances are your post was posted anyway. (At least mine have been.)

I got that Tuesday night. I think I double-clicked "submit" before I got the error msg.

It's a setting in the forum program that prevents things like spaming .... and the multiple posts that sometimes happen.

Bingo. One might not know they hit submit twice, that's when you get the message.
