Keep those names and numbers coming!! I understand that many of us will be headed there with regular groups, but for the rest of us that are in smaller numbers or wants to be part of a larger crowd....let's get some game plans started!

It's only:
43 days, 22 hours, 18 minutes, 50 seconds until the show!
1,054.31 hours
63,258.83 minutes
3,795,530 seconds
I just emailed you my Cell # Soraya. Let me know if you didn't get it.
We're coming in a Hummer Limo to join the Charlotte PHC group. We're bringing lots of booze and lots of food, so I'd love to come over to the "meeting place" and bring some "offerings" and meet some new pholks!!!!!! We're planning on being at Boardwalk Billy's on Saturday as well. Also, if your sign guy doesn't work out, i found a place online www.shindigz.com that will print a custom banner for $13.99. It's cheap plastic, and there are limitations, but they have a cute one with palm trees and a parrot on it that would be perfect with your added text. Just a thought.
Well, keep me posted on the festivities!!!

That banner looks awesome.....the "Party in Paradise" one with the parrot and palm trees under Luau banners. If this looks like a good idea to others, I would be more than happy to "donate" the banner to the cause.....(take care of ordering it and so forth) but would like input on what it should say. Also, I won't be arriving until after checking in to our hotel on Sunday. Maybe I could arrange to have it shipped to someone who is going to be there when the gates open?

Hey, Cocotel....I just sent you a PM....

Any idea what the banner will say? BN Phlocking or something like that? I don't think it really matters at all as long as everyone knows what it will say. If your buddy doesn't work out, let me know and I'll explore the other route.

BLENDER

Post by cocotel »

I just read the thread "Best way to power a blender" and it got me to thinking.
If anyone has the need I will brining an inverter that can hook into a cigarette lighter.
You know, for those "road side emergencies"

We're bringing our....I don't know what you call it.....It's a battery, I guess, 120v. We use it on the beach to plug in our boom box when we want the music right there next to our sand chairs. You just plug stuff into it and it provides the power. We can also use it to jump car or boat batteries. I assume it will power a blender....need to check with hubby on that. If it will, I'll bring my Bullet blender. I have an inverter, too...for the cigarette lighter.

I gotta go get something productive done today.....

Cy'all later!

LOL...I think needing to use the blender counts as a road side emergency!

I will be updating the confirmation and phone lists tonight. Things have been hectic around here! (Trying to get my daughter into and organized with a magnet middle school here....almost have THAT done!)

Hubby just got home and told me that the "thing" we have is a portable car battery jump starter. We got ours at West Marine but he said you can probably pick one up at any automotive store for about $50. It will easily save you at least that in battery costs in pretty short order. It won't run a blender, though.....apparently it's only good for about 100 watts, but it will run your ipod until the cows come home. Also, you need an invertor to plug into it if you don't have one already....or you can just use your car battery. We will bring the jump starter in case somebody wears their car battery out. I hope this helps.

Speaking of my hubby.....he said he called the Hampton this afternoon and changed our reservation to include Saturday night. I swear, he's the best!! :D

Saturday stay

Post by cocotel »

Hey there Bubba Phan.
Great to hear you'll be coming in on Saturday night!!
The banner was ordered today and it will be just like the one on www.shindigz.com excpet I had "Charlotte BN Phlocking" added to the bottom.
Dennis is still looking into another but if it's going to put him out I'll settle for this one.

The list keeps growing as does my list of "groceries"

I've been calling Verizon periodically checking on when the lots will open and it still stands at noon.

On a more personal note I need some help here.
I can not for the life of me figure out how to get a picture posted!! :o
If anyone out there can help me with this "avatar" thing and how to post a picture under my sign in, please let me know!!

I plan to be there...I'll have my keet with me. We are actually being dropped off, after dinner, at the venue........by my parents. We are leaving for the beach the next morning...(my Dad hasn't seen the ocean in 20 years!!!!!). Very excited about meeting everyone.

I am never too far away....lol....just busy.

Magnet schools are sort of special public schools you have to apply to get into....they normally offer special classes and stuff you don't get at local (or base) schools. Rock is DAMN lucky to get into this one....one of the best in the nation! (Yeah, I am bragging a bit...proud mama 'keet!)

Now back to tailgating plans! I saw a decent canopy for cheap today at Ekards....wondering if this would be a good idea for some shade.

I'll have my EZ-Up at our Tail-gate, but the more shade the better. Anyone thought about a port-a-jon or is anyone bringing an RV?
