See if you can knock down costs and we'll post it here to the group.

The banner is on me.

I was thinking of possibly some contests with small prizes for games, etc.

I'll be there at noon, setting up, cooking but more importantly to get our banner up so people who want to join the party will see where we are.

I'm going to need some help from everyone out there these next few weeks. My wife is closing in on her bone marrow transplant date and I'll probably not be on the board as much between May 10 - May 24.

Any ideas, plans etc. , please post them.
I will help in anyway that I can.....We too will be there at 12:00ish to setup.

How many cups do you think that we would need?
I may be able to donate, looks like the cost will be really cheap with a one color logo. Although to keep cost way down my company logo needs to be on one side. ex: 150 @ $46.00 + Shipping.

We will keep your wife in thoughts and prayers!!

That sounds good to me Kerri.

As far as the quantity I think the 150 should be good.

What does everyone think about it?

That sounds great and I would love to help out in any way that I can. I'll do anything that I can to help out. Railroad lady, I can send you some money to help with the cups. What kind of prizes did you have in mind?

Oh and what about name tags? I know some people might have the ones from were made by someone on BN before, but I know I don't and maybe we could come up with something unique for this concert? What does everyone think?

That is very thoughtful of you, but I would feel so bad taking money from anyone..... If we need to order more than 150, then I might need to.
I don't like to be chincy.....I want to do my part.

Cocotel had the prize idea. I'll be glad to take care of ordering the prizes.
I can get anything imprintable or not imprintable at a really good deal.
I have many ideas........ that is my specialty.

Anyone that puts in money for any of the cups or prizes, needs to let me know how many they want of the item, so I can put back with your name.
It is only fair that you get your share. Fair's, Fair. ( oh, I made a rhyme).

In looking at the list of confirmed names on page two of this thread it looks like there's about 30 names.
Now the way I figure we should double that amount and go from there.
We'll have others coming and going I'm sure. They'll probably be other BNR's that don't see this thread or just plain forget that will show also.

Personally, I feel 150 is good.
After all it's the meeting of new phriends that ultimately will make this a grand time.

I've got to go pick up my keets, so I'll catch up with everyone a bit later.
Let's keep this thread alive and keep the excitemnet brewing!! :D

Cocotel, enjoyed reading your answers in BN'r of the day. I grew up in Raleigh and I'm a die hard Wolfpack fan!!

Anyway, I just want to say how much I appreciate all the work everyone is putting into this. If I can do anything to help let me know. We are planning on getting there around 12ish too.

We're coming in a Hummer Limo to join the Charlotte PHC group. We're bringing lots of booze and lots of food, so I'd love to come over to the "meeting place" and bring some "offerings" and meet some new pholks!!!!!! We're planning on being at Boardwalk Billy's on Saturday as well. Also, if your sign guy doesn't work out, i found a place online www.shindigz.com that will print a custom banner for $13.99. It's cheap plastic, and there are limitations, but they have a cute one with palm trees and a parrot on it that would be perfect with your added text. Just a thought.
Well, keep me posted on the festivities!!!
That banner looks awesome.....the "Party in Paradise" one with the parrot and palm trees under Luau banners. If this looks like a good idea to others, I would be more than happy to "donate" the banner to the cause.....(take care of ordering it and so forth) but would like input on what it should say. Also, I won't be arriving until after checking in to our hotel on Sunday. Maybe I could arrange to have it shipped to someone who is going to be there when the gates open?
Just stumbling through and was interested in the banner you were talking about. I'll mention that the banner in my signature (I know the picture isn't very good) is 8 feet wide and 3 feet tall. When I put it up on 10 foot posts it becomes tiny.

I mention that because the banners on the website, which look nice, at just about half the size of mine at 4.5 feet wide and 1.5 feet tall, just so you know.

I do have a couple other pictures of my banner, incase anyone is interested in making a duplicate, or whatever.

I totally agree with you cocotel....we are going to have GRAND TIME!!
I'll go ahead and order 150 (16oz) cups and I'll post a picture of the cup as soon as I receive them.

Any Color preference??? Blue with white imprint? Red with white imprint?
Several color options are available.
