Be a part of the Charlotte BN Phlocking!!!

Well, hello again everyone.
The Charlotte thread has recently gathered names and numbers for those interested in meeting in the parking lot for a pre concert party. Soraya recently went through the nine pages of respones and came up with names of those that appear to be attending the show. She is still gathering names and phone numbers for anyone who would like to hook up for our very own "meeting of the minds."
Although the concert is still six weeks away it's never too early too prepare. If anyone has any suggestions or questions PM me any time or simply reply to this thread.
Let's keep the excitement alive, work together to meet up and share ideas that will make this phlocking the envy of all others this season.

Great looking list!!
Just got in from a long afternoon of driving around the Triangle.
Brother in law John picked up some fresh limes at the farmer's market and we are priming the pump.
Welcome aboard!! :P

Traffic wasn't actually too bad today.....and you picked a great day for it.

I bought some Cuervo Black...sort of a test run before the show!! Not sure what I think of it.....let you know later!

Let's start with the basics for this....food/drink/decor/contests (but not stupid ones...lol....I hate stupid contest/games...but they are a great way for people to get to know each other.)

Food.....anyone bringing a grill that could be shared by others that can't bring theirs? I can't bring one.....but I do plan on lots of hor dourves (fancy way of saying munchies!) to share with those that stop by.

Drink.....pacing is all important......unfortunately a day of margaritas is going to cause my GERD to go bananas......thinking rum punch and a virgin bucket of the stuff for the 'keets.

Decor....inflatable palm tree is about all I have right now...and a sun umbrella I hope will fit in the Jeep!!

games etc.

I'll bring a grill and hope some others can also.
Me and my friend Dennis will be grilling some chicken, peppers, onions and whatever else comes to mind. Maybe some hot dogs for any keets among the crowd. We'll also be bringing Corona's and mixing up some rum swizzles. Bag of limes. Chips, etc.
Looking into some inflatable (small not excessive) palm trees and maybe set up a tiki type hut. Any ideas on where to get some inflatable trees, etc. at a reasonable price?

Can't forget those limes!! The place I know of for inflatables is http://www.orientaltrading.com Looking at a Tiki style umbrella....it's going to be hot in that parking lot....I want to enjoy things...not be miserable.

If I can get a nice peice of light colored scrap vinyl at work (should be no problem but it's amazing how much car vinyl are dark colors!) I will be making some sort of banner for the BN group banner so folks can find us.

I'm sorry!
Just letting you know that it's a long standing BuffettNews tradition to have surprise guests at your phlocking (if you can) , that no one else knows about. 8)

Leave it to a Buffett virgin to remind me of the essentials.
My friend Dennis remined me the importance of cheeseburgers. We figure Bubba Burgers would be easiest so Bubba Burgers it is.
Dennis works for PBM Graphics so I asked him if he would be able to make a banner for our gathering. Let me know if you have any suggestions about what to have put on said banner.
We don't want to miss anyone so I was thinking a "gathering" by say four?
I'm not quite sure of the layout for premier parking but I'm working on it.
Someone had posted about a meeting spot for us all and I think it's a great idea. A group picture would be great!!
I know other threads have gotten a ton of attention but I also know that if we work together we will all have a memorable gathering.
I'll get back with my brother tonight so he can find out for us (through his Verizon connection) the layout of the premier lot. I'm hoping to get a map of the Amphitheatre and if I do will be sure to post it here.
Hope you all had a great weekend.

Hello, everyone......

My hubby and I managed to find some tickets to the Charlotte show and, since it's just the two of us going, we would be interested in meeting up for some tailgating. We're coming into town as early as we can on the 4th and staying at the Hampton in Concord. I didn't realize about the premiere parking and it looks like those passes are gone because there isn't anything about it on ticketmaster now. Not sure what we will do about that. Anyway, just wanted to say Hi. I guess I'll jump over to the other thread and get my info sent to the appropriate parties....

....and a huge, huge thank you for those of you who have volunteered to organize, collect info, whatever!! If I can do anything to help things along, just give me a shout. :D

Hello there bubba phan,
I just sent a message to your box about premier parking.
If it's not there the message basicly was the phone # to the Verizon Amphitheatre 704-522-6500. This is where you can order your premier parking pass.
Hope to see you there

WooooHoooo! Thanks to cocotel, I now have a premiere parking pass so we'll be able to find y'all! :D

I'm not sure what we will be bringing (my Jeep is kinda limited in space) but I know we'll bring the bottle of Appleton Rum we bought in Jamaica in November. I can't think of a more appropriate occasion for it!

FYI:
I just went onto ticketmaster to see if premier parking tickets were still available for a friend.....they still have them, see website: http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/0E003 ... rcatid=103

I know you can still call ticketmaster, but thought you might like to know just incase.
