This one time at Poplar Creek, I was supposed to turn left to get into the lot, but I was in the right lane. I had to drive past almost two blocks and turn around. Boy did we laugh

lets see...
a funny Story .. Rogue (my lil sis) and her best friend
drive from Carson City to my House to see a show..
as they are walking into the Door I get handed a pillow
and told Hey be careful that pillow is loaded.. (.22 mag in the pillowcase)
:D :D that was a great show.. an JW and a Mormon :D
OK and there is Denver..my first time to Denver.
snow on the road when we land ( Rogue is my Road Parrot on this one too)
there is like 3-4 inches on the highway but it's slush,no worries
at the Rent a car place there is a guy in front of us
and his wife has a broken record.. 'Honey you have never driven in the snow) sooo the guys at the counter have a powwow and
they tell these nice pholks " we will shuttle you into town and
it's to clear up later." so I get up to the counter
and they have our car pulled up and we are loading
so now there are 3 families waiting on the shuttle
so they ask "hey how does He rate?" the staff says
UH He lives in Snow Country :D :D :D :D :D

6 hour drive-got 2 traffic tickets on the way there (one for speeding, one for illegal passing)...

Got lost in the Blue Ridge mountains-it was very scary (deliverance style)...

Finally made it to the pre-show party about an hour before showtime. Worst Buffett experience I ever had.

Years ago, I was in charge of planning our tailgate for the Camden show. We had about 40 people coming and the forcast was for heavy rain. I ran through a few last minute options and the best I could come up with was to rent a U-Haul truck with a back large enough for all of us to stand in. So that is what I did!

As I pulled through the lot in my U-Haul I got lots of stares, people expected the party to just roll out as we opend the back of the truck!

Turns out the rains held off until after the show started, but we were prepared just in case!

Got on a plane in Anchorage, Alaska, flew all day with plane changes to Pittburgh, PA, jumped in a car we had packed before we left for Fairbanks, and ended up at Starlake at a Buffett concert at night, was way tired but had a great time!! :)

Nothing as exciting as airplane trips, but...

For Alpine '04, we rented a coach bus and as we were inching our way along the road leading into the parking lot, I fell down the stairs of the bus and onto the pavement.

To this day, I still don't remember that, but remember getting yelled at by the girl to helped me back up because she's like 5' 0" and I stepped on her foot.

Had a nasty bruise on my hip the next morning and wondered where it came from...

Camden 2002

Virtually unemployed and with no money for tickets, etc, drove to Camden just to party in the parking lot with BNers. Walked through the parking lot looking around, and saw a kid with tickets trying to see them to scalpers. I walked right up to him, and asked him if he wanted to sell the tix to scalpers or a real fan. He got rid of the scalper, and then told me he only had 1 ticket. Face was $30, not to mention TM fees, etc, so I told him I only had $29 (which was true!). I gave him the cash, he gave me the ticket, which I promptly put in my pocket without looking at it. After walking back to the BN crew, I looked in my pocket - I had felt 2 "tickets", but thought he had given me the TM receipt with the ticket....He had, in fact, in his 'altered' state, given me 2 tickets....for $29! Luckily, I couldn't have found him again if I had tried, so went to the show & had a great time!!!

8/28/1999 - Merriweather Post Pavillion

I was still living in New Orleans at the time. Was chatting via AOL Instant Messenger with a PH in Virginia when the "Hey, we have an extra ticket" invitation was thrown out. Called the airlines, booked a flight and flew out the next morning. They picked me up curbside at BWI and we drove directly to the pre-party somewhere near Camden Yards. Then to the parking lot at Merriweather Post Pavillion...which was a great scene despite the stories of the parking lot police patrols. After an awesome concert it was off to sleep on my new found friends sofa, an early wakeup call, back to the airport and a flight home!

It was a great story to tell the following Monday morning at work...since I had no weekend plans when I left work on Friday evening! 8)

Drove directly from Stamford, Connecticut to the show in Atlanta with my wife. Pulled into the lot at about 10:30 a.m. with no tickets, no food, no booze or dope. As soon as word spread of where we came from everyon embraced us. Scored two tickets at face value, ate, drank and smoked more in 8 hours than I had in the past 8 weeks. Best tailgating experience that I have ever had. That is why Atlanta is the best venue.

Hi 8)
If I could go to more concerts, I'd have lots more stories to tell......
part of the fun of having the experiences is laughing about them later when they're retold. Good thing the hubby is over-sensible, otherwise I'd be in SO much trouble all the time. Silly is my middle name.

and I'm actually thinking about borrowing a clown wig from my parents (DON'T ASK !!) and putting it on the top of my car for the concert.

I've got a great story that BB will identify with from this past December.

Its a two pager and I'm still editing it and fine tuning. It was by far the

best Buffett encounter that I've ever had, and the trip there was a well a

trip. May be I'll post it next time the BN site needs a little boost of the

positive kind. :) and when get it all down and finished.
