You should also see Oak Island, just off of Mahone Bay (on the South Shore). Supposedly, Captain Kidd STILL has some treasure buried there.
Maybe top it off with visits to Lunenberg (where the Maritime museum is) then take a drive to Bridgewater-where my SANE relatives live. (Rofihe's Men's Wear on King Street-say "hi" to Barry & Jimmy).
And if you get up to Cape Breton Island, a trip on the Cabot trail is alone worth the trip.
Whichever you do, have fun.

[quote="Desdamona"]Hall's Harbour looks great. Did you stay there or just do a day visit?

It was a day visit. I can't believe that I have never been there ... Nova Scotia is my home, and I visit here frequently, and didn't knew about this gem. Never have I tasted such fresh lobster! The way they are served is very unique ... going from building to building on the dock to pick your lobster, then carrying it to the next spot to have it boiled, and then finally having it delivered freshly boiled, to your table at the last stop. Absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait to go back.
