My 9 year old hopped in the passenger seat of my car today, and asked "where's the prindle in this car??"

I asked "huh", and "where's the what" a few times, but I was stumped!! Can anyone guess what she was asking me?? :D

Q: "Where's the 'prindle' in this car?"

A: "Same place as in every other car."

(Then watch where she checks.)

AHA!

I just Googled it.
Took me four pages of results to find it.
Now I know and you don't.
I'll give you a hint:
It's not spelled p-r-i-n-d-l-e

Maybe she meant handle, as in the door handle?

Son used to call the TV remote control the "flamote."

OMG. I just got it. And I never called it that - Probably cause I grew up with cars that didn't have it. 8)

Cate!!!! How are ya?

I'm hoping that's the right answer, if it's not blame it on google!!!

I had an idea what it was, because all I know how to drive are automatic cars.....but I had to look it up to make sure.

Did you really??

I showed her the P R N D 3 L up on my dash, but she wanted to know how I changed it... so I showed her the lever on my steering wheel. My husband's is right between the front seats (well duh - it would be pretty tough between the back seats! ), and obviously easier for her to see and figure out!

They're all over the back seat of my car thanks to the keet

yeh, I did, though at times I might have called it the pernundel. I remember my grandmother's car had buttons on the dashboard and you pushed them to shift--how incredibly archaic it all seems now.

But I really did make up a word for the letters, so your 9 year old is in good company!!!

This reminds me of a moment with my keet last summer. We had spent the day at Disneyland, and just sat down to wait for the shuttle back to our hotel. The wife said "I'm pooped." My littlest keet (4) asked "Mom, did you really poop?" with this disgusted look on his face...
