You can't register for the drawing until this coming Thursday, the 27th. We rode down to CIP in Myrtle Beach to register and couldn't. We had called Margaritaville to find out the details, but my husband didn't hear that important detail!

I really wish I had a way to get tickets to this show. But I live in Columbia and have no time to get down there to register.

Neither CIP or Margaritaville can give out tix now. Something about having a lottery in an establishment that serves alcohol. Only place to find tix now is the two radio stations: 107.1 is giving 2 away to the 5th caller several times a day, 104.9 is registering caller 13 for a drawing to be held on May 3. Last I heard 104.9 only had 20 tickets, don't know if they got more now since the restaurants aren't giving them away. Course, also don't know how many of the 300 tickets will actually be offered up to the fans, I know some have gone to the bigshots in the company that owns Broadway at the Beach, prob some went to other CEO types too, as well as radio station staff. Anyway still trying to be lucky caller 5 :D

You are welcome. We are about 3.5 hours away. I figure they will have a lot of chances this weekend.

I hope 1 BNer wins!

You can no longer register to win at the restaurants. Margaritaville got fined big time by South Carolina -- turns out the state thinks this is some kind of "gamnbling" stunt the organization is pulling off.

This whole winning of tickets idea is very unfair. We all know that 50% of the tickets were given away BEFORE this contest came about. VIPS in Myrtle tend to be the 1st priority. Tickets rarely go to the deserving fan. We all know that.
Sunset Beach is my Margaritaville. Where there is endless beach, no time, and sunshine that seems to last forever. I know that Someday I Will.....Someday.

But we still have a chance with the radio station...she just announce that on the streaming radio. They will be giving away lots of chances to win the passes.

So how are they supposed to do it? I would wager a decent amount of money that the PHCs there are getting a few (probably not a lot, but a few) of tickets, and the tickets that people won are completely non-transferrable.

And remember guys- radio stations rarely give tickets to the real "caller # whatever" but instead to the person that sounds most excited (but still normal). Just keep calling, and make friends with the operator if you get through.

Gee, I have won plenty of times on the radio, and just cause I was the right caller, not because they knew me. But then I wasn't calling for JB tixs, either....

Local PHC either did not get any tickets or are being suprisingly secretive if they did. Also, both Cheeseburger and M'ville had the rule that to win you had to be a resident of one of either Horry or Georgetown county, so at least now it seems anyone that can listen to the radio stations has the chance to win. Whether or not I get tickets, or if the real caller 5 gets them compared to the excited listener, I like the give away format. It seems more like everyone has the same chance. So, good luck to everyone else trying to win, maybe I'll see you there, if not I'll be listing in on RM

Also, don't know about 104.9, but 107.1 said last night about 5:30 that they are not giving anymore tickets away until Monday A.M.

Do not think you have to be a local resident to win on the radio, haven't heard that in the rules at all. I was just saying that I think it is fairer to all the way the radio stations are doing it. Sorry for any confusion

I've worked as a radio station announcer and know quite a few...

In my experience, I/they always count down the number of callers they say they are.

That's why when you call, they say, "you're caller number ___," before you even say hello!

Like I said, I bet at least 50% of the tickets are already spoken for. Keep in mind, life ain't fair. Plus, Myrtle has a bunch of people who are in the "inner-circle". I am still trying though. I would love to see Jimmy in Margaritaville. I wish there was some other way though to get tickets.

You know the Broadway at the Beach will be packed as you can hear everything just standing outside.
