The Lawyer and the a**hole
by Jimmy Buffett
1980 Telluride (not sure of date)

This lawyer and this a**hole
Out in California
Told me I can't sing "God's Own Drunk for you no more
I hate being told
What I can and can't do
So here's a little message
Till I even up the score.

Kiss my ass, Mr. _________ (Greedy is used sometimes)
Yea, Somethin here is wrong
You want all the money
And you never wrote the song

I bet your poor daddy's
Rollin over in the ground
So I'll just sing my own good tunes
They still get me around

Kiss my ass, Mr. B there's something very wrong
You want all this money and you never wrote this song
I'll bet your daddy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
xxxxxxxxxxxx I'll repeat just what he did.

Kiss my ass
Kiss my ass
Kiss my ass.

Sitting Here In Limbo

Oh, and I see the Crocodile Song made nvrmind's list. :)

Crocodile Song

She sailed away
On a bright and sunny day
On the back of a crocodile
You see, said she
He's as tame as he can be
I'll ride him down the Nile
Well, the croc winked his eye
As she waved them all goodbye
Wearing a happy smile
At the end of the ride
The lady was inside
And the smile was on the crocodile (clap, clap)

Just a bit curious as to why you want to do this. I have compiled a similar list myself. To compare these lists by hand seems like it would take a long time - there's got to be a better way.

So how are you generating this list?
MikeInNOLA wrote: HOLY SMOKES! :o Great job! :)

So do you have that in a database file? Sure seems it should end up on BN somewhere for reference! :-?
Figured out how to do this - took your first list & imported it into my database, then ran comparison with what I have but you did not have. Got about 50 differences, have not verified all but 50 diffs (many are probably subtle spelling diffs) is much better than the size of your list!

I was at that Camden (Philly) show that year. I had heard the Knopfler/Taylor version on RM and it was great to hear Jimmy pull it out. He did it as his last song and said something like "How can I leave Philadelphia without singing this song.." I think RM cut the show and did not play the song. If I'm wrong ans someone has that show, please PM me.

Was there also on 9/6/01. It is my favorite concert. :D FSOTW (was not released yet) and then Sailing To Philadelphia while an almost full moon rose during the middle of the show on the eastern horizon. Jimmy mentioned that he couldn't wait to get here to play it. It was special and an awesome ending to a perfect night. Then of course 5 days later the world changed forever
