buying in right now is going to be premium prices. If you wait, there will be seats. Alpine extras were going for face or less on eBay the last week, there are released seats the last week as well. If you want to give the scalpers their profit and keep them in business, that is up to you. If Candy and I decide to head north, we'll be waiting until late August to look for tickets.
That's all fine and good it you don't really care if you go or not.
I don't WANT to keep scalpers in business but I WANT to go to the concert. I am not about to wait til the last minute and do a hit or miss. It is a small venue and anything could happen. I have waited before and missed out. I don't regret my decission at all.
What RinglingRingling wrote sure gives me a bit of hope, and it does make sense, because people buy tix and then stuff comes up, and they aren't able to go. So I think I"ll take a chance on what Ringling said, because the prices on eBay are just insane, and when I did a search yesterday of various ticket broker sites (RazorGator, etc) the lowest I could find was around $90 per ticket...

Ringling is so right. I had 2 extra lawn seats for cinci and a week before the show, just out of curiosity, I popped onto ebay to see what those rat bastards were getting for tix... Face at best. And lots were on sale.
So I implore you, all of you, don't cave in. Wait them out, it is the only way we will beat the scalpers...Unless anyone wants to use a 2 iron to beat them with
btw: I sold those tix in the riverbend parking lot for face to a couple of Buffett Virgins who were so excited just to get tickets.
Phinz UP~~^~~
if I don't die by Thursday
I'll be roarin' Friday night

You must not have waited at Pine Knob cause there are always tickets in the lot. Always.
At the DPHC meeting last night I was talking to the Pres and VP of the club. They said they'd spoken to Fingers in the last week about the possibility of playing locally that weekend. However, Fingers told them he and Jimmy had spoken since the Cincinnati show and there is about a 95% chance he'll be on stage for DETROIT!!!!!!!!!

but you take full responsibility for any weather, up to and including the complete whiteout conditions that can, and usually do, occur after Sept. 4th up nort'?
Was just looking at the historical weather for detroit,
The average temps for sept the 12 is high of 76, low of 58 record high was 96, record low was 44. so with that, hell it HAS to be warmer than wisconsins 58 degrees and 15mph winds we had this year!

It's MUCH better than Riverbend Ian! It has a steeper slope than Cincinnati so it's less likely your view is blocked by people in front of you and the pavilion supports block less of your view than Riverbend. It also has video screens mounted on the pavilion and the sides of the stage like Cincy. The only possible downside would be with the steeper slope if you've got drunks behind you they may be more apt to stagger into you....SO CHOOSE YOUR NEIGHBORS CAREFULLY!!
