I think its considered 'rare' because its not on any album...like the 'lost' verse of M'ville was before it was recorded on an album...
(wow Im really showing my age huh..."album")

It IS on an album. It was on the ORIGINAL release of Havana Daydreamin'...which, though rare, can occasionally be found in used record stores, or on E-Bay.

It was taken off, for whatever reason, after that limited release, and that is why it is so sought-after.

I bought the record on Ebay.
All versions that I've heard online play too slow and are of poor quality.
I put it on cd and it sounds pretty good

I am 30 straight up and call them albums, but also hang out with PHs. Hm... a pattern? Who cares? Albums they are, and I have a decent version of the song, but need to get a hold of the album, too.

The term "album" can apply to CDs, vinyl, cassettes, etc. since it means "a collection of songs" and doesn't refer to the format itself. Same for "record".

I have a really good live recording of this song from an old Jimmy show. I'll let you know if I can track it down.

I am under 30, and don't know what else you would call it other than album. Record? Recording? Track?
Album is the latest term for them, no?
