Really dumb question sorry

Ok, so I found this discussion board a couple weeks ago and have been reading the posts pretty regularly. I have a really dumb question. There has been mention to a new JB album coming out and I can't find any info on it at margaritaville.com. Are people referring to the HOOT soundtrack or is there another album coming out? If so is there a release date set? Thanks for the help.

The last I heard, the new album is to be released in October 2006. But I'm sure with Mailboat Records it will be delayed. Its title as of now, is Party At The End Of The World.

Party At The End Of The World is due out in October. Jimmy has already previewed the title track and one other song on tour.

Welcome to BN!
As you can see, we maintain a lot of faith in Mailboat Records release dates...all based on their previous history.
I think
The Party At The End Of The World release will be December 21st, 2012 AD

....which coincidentally is the end of the Mayan calendar!

Oh, those wacky Mayans! We'll never last that long with North Korea and Iran putting itchy fingers on their big, red buttons!

thanks for the welcome folks. I very rarely say anything negative about Jimmy, but don't most artist put out an album and THEN tour on it? Ah well, who really wants to do things the normal way anyway. So then what this song that people are talking about "Here we are"? Is that off HOOT?

Don't scoff at it. It means he'll have to tour some more....

LOL!

Buffett is the only artist I can think of that will name a tour for a cd that is not due out for several months. Tour on it. And when the cd does come out the tour is pretty much over with. I guess the next tour will be the 'Let's have a Hoot' tour. A little late, but he has to call it something....PATEOTW was already done.
I'm not complaining....I can't wait to see him, and I do have a hOOt everytime. but it is a little odd the way he does things sometimes.

Don't forget, last year's tour was named after a song (& book) he never played live...

I have to admit that the book tie-in is unique.....but I seem to recall quite a few tour names that aren't the same as the artists's current release.

He did the "Havana Daydreamin'" tour in the mid-90s....that album came out in the 70s.
Don't forget the lyric "Livin' and Dyin' in 3/4 Time" was from a song that was on the album "A1A".

How about last year's tour being named after the book, SPOL. Is that the firts time a musician/group named their tour after their book and not a new album?
Anyway, as long as he tours I'll be a happy camper.

I'm not sure....was Madonna's last tour named after her Sex book, or did she call it, "I have a really crappy fake British accent" tour.

Except "Domino College" was a song, not an album.
