According to my calculations (yours may be different), that was when Jimmy reached his peak!

Just for fun, I ranked my top 20 Buffett songs and listed their year of release. I then weighted each song by multiplying the year by the reverse rank number. Song #1 by 20, song #2 by 19, etc.

I added all the totals and divided by 210 (the total of 1-20). That gave me a year and a fraction.

Based on my favorite 20 songs, Buffett reached his peak in late November of 1979.

What else am I gonna do on a Friday afternoon?!??!

What date/year do you come up with?
