An absolutely GREAT show in Dallas
Just got back from Dallas and have to say that it was in my opinion one of the best show I have ever seen JB do - it was fantastic.
And JB must have some connection to the man upstairs...it rained most of the day, but the skies cleared a couple of hours before showtime and it turned out to be a great evening...
Wish everybody could have been there....

I gotta go where it's warm

I cannot tell you how many times that has happened during Florida summer shows!! Very first show I saw in 1977...rained all day... Jimmy came out and the skies parted. Go figure!okparrott wrote: And JB must have some connection to the man upstairs...it rained most of the day, but the skies cleared a couple of hours before showtime and it turned out to be a great evening...
....

Nearly the same thing happened at Shoreline on Tuesday night too ..... it was chilly during day (as it has been for so long this damn winter/spring!), chilly enough that i had to ditch the sandals and shorts for socks, shoes and long pants for the show ...... THIS IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR ME, as I tend to wear shorts year-round ...... so's JB's first comment upon hitting the stage is a sarcastic "... nice to be back in tropical (?) California tonight ..." ...... he was in HIS shorts and barefoot of course! ..... then later in show he sez that "... tonight is officially first night of summer ...." or something to that effect, which is what I had been saying too previous to his pronouncement ..... but my point of this reply is that the weather seemed to actually IMPROVE as the night went on, and not just because of the show and the beer .... it was clear and starry by the end of night, and it has been in the 80's during the day since then ..... summer starts tonight indeed!
And bytheway ...... did anyone else notice in the Halftime video the shot of JB onstage, in performance, wearing SHOES!!!!!
That is the first time I've ever seen that, even including thr first time I saw him perform with the leg cast on: his other leg was tanning-ready, even by moonlight!!

Where crab season lasts all year ..... and feeling crabby isn't always a bad thing ..... right Krusty??

Damn, I almost forgot how great his shows are. It's been entirely too long since we've been. We had a crazy time. We were waiting on our plane at KCI, they had to check the plane before we got on, it got hit by lightning. The flight attendant said it was too loud to describe. But other than dodging the weather, it was great, the first time for my brother-in-law, he's always been a parrothead, but never had a chance to go to a show.
