Yankees-Red Sox
Ok, tomorrow night at Fenway. Damon returning to Boston, teams virtually tied for first (Yanks are percentage points ahead). Wang Vs. Wakefield.
LET'S GO YANKEES!

Re: Yankees-Red Sox Round 1
Classy Sox fans at their best. Do people take their kids to Fenway for these games? I'd be embarassed to have my kid there ( If I had a kid of course) regardless of which team I liked.BottleofRum wrote:BahamaBreeze wrote:And the Soxs fans wearing:job41475 wrote:Ok, tomorrow night at Fenway. Just remember, if you go by history, the Red Sox will win 4 more World Series before the Yankees will ever win another one, so by your logic, the Yankees will not win another one for 400 years.job41475 wrote:If I'm still alive in 2090 to have to experience another Red Sox WS win, then I guess I'm doing something right....
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
Life is short, live long!!
I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

1918 - 2004 = 86 years between championships so that would mean the next one is in 2090. I think you're trying to refer to the Red Sox run of titles in the teens but then the math wouldn't work. Hope I broke it down enough so a Red Sox fan can understand.aeroparrot wrote:Just remember, if you go by history, the Red Sox will win 4 more World Series before the Yankees will ever win another one, so by your logic, the Yankees will not win another one for 400 years.job41475 wrote:If I'm still alive in 2090 to have to experience another Red Sox WS win, then I guess I'm doing something right....

Brilliant logic
How about this, the Yankees have not won a world Series with a Republican as president since the 1950's....
This is always a great time of year in the NBA and NHL playoffs. When a team (like the NY Rangers) fall behind 3-0 they show how many teams in pro sports have comeback from an 0-3 hole to win a series and the following line is displayed:
2004 Red Sox vs. Yankees

That's pretty funny coming from one of the most Democratic (as in the party) states in the union.BottleofRum wrote:job41475 wrote:1918 - 2004 = 86 years between championships so that would mean the next one is in 2090. Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
