RAGTOP wrote:so the big topic of conversation today in Boston and NY is whether or not the Yankees should bean David Ortiz. What do you guys think? In my opinion if they do hit him the Yankees are all but admitting that they are his b**** :P

When Pedro did it he called him a thug and a headhunter... now the same newspaper is saying they should hit Ortiz.

The hypocrisy continues

was it me or did I hear Yankee fans booing RJ as he walked off the mound... oh the irony. Boo an opposing player shows no respect... booing your own players completley acceptable

In the hypocrite world they live in that is OK.

How many games does Bernie get? I say 3 but I hope it's is not during the Red Sox series, I want him in the line up.

I guess I was lucky enough to have a hockey game last night so missed the last 6 innings.
Tonight will be different! I will be there! You guys are in trouble now. I've got a meeting with Cashman this afternoon. I might start in right tonight!!! :D

If you start in right field tonight I'll make sure I listen for "looser looser" when the bleacher creatures do role call

I think Ron Guidry needs to start earning his money now. RJ's mechanics are way out of whack and he'll get hurt if he doesn't get straightened out. I'm not too overjoyed today - without the errors the game is very close. It's good to see the bottom of the order start to produce for the Sox! Gonzo hit that hard! :o

I shudder to think what would happen if Willie Harris and Wily Mo Pena were to collide in the outfield! :o Kind of like a Mack truck hitting a Miata. :D  :pirate:

6 unearned runs from errors. That makes the game 8-3. Still not close. RJ looked about as good as he did in the all-star game when he threw the ball over John Kruk's head. Let's make it 6 in a row for the Sox tonight!!! :D

Well that wasn't a lot of fun but we were treated to one of the rarest feats in sports, E-Rod had a clutch hit :o Really, if I didn't see it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. It's amazing what you can do when you close your eyes. :D
