Why would you heckle Myers? The Sox didn't even make him an offer. His unique status (the ability to get Matsui out) cost the bullpen in flexibility the rest of the year. The guy couldn't even effectively pitch an entire inning when the rest of the pen used up in a doubleheader last September.
So the Yankmees pick him up to get out Big Papi...

Yeah if you don't offer Myers or anybody else a decent contract you can't hold it against him when they look for employment elsewhere. I understood when Flaherty went to spring training with the Sox this year because he thought he wanted to play more and the Yankees didn't offer him a contract.
