I always thought Gene Hackman was very good at this.

Don't know if it's still on because I haven't watched it in a while, but Bravo carried the show "Inside the actors' studio". It provided great insight into the craft, artists, careers, characters, personalities, etc.

The most profound performance I have seen recently, quite possibly in my whole life, is Heath Ledger as Ennis Del Mar. He absolutely becomes the character......utterly remarkable.

I was halfway into Carlito's Way when I realized it was him.

Also like Billy Bob Thorton (Sling Blade, U Turn etc.)
wait a second, Billy Bob played himself in Sling Blade, no?

Good ole Goober spends a lot of time here in Lawrenceburg. That is all, back to your thread now.

what they both said!

Also agree with comments about Denzel playing Malcolm X and Jamie Fox in Ray-brilliant performances. Phoenix's Johnny Cash reminded me of Elvis much more than Cash-don't remember the lip twitching with Cash.
