You mean you actually use tape? Ha ha.

Hey, I'd love to get a hold of some shows from the Havana Daydreamin', CILCIA, SOAS, Volcano, Coconut and Somewhere Over China tours.

I only say that because radiomargaritaville does play shows from those tours (maybe not all of them, I really don't know) so maybe they'll be available some day to buy and listen to at home?

Quick n00bie answer:

Us tapers refer to ''tape'' b/c some tapers still use DAT tape. When you 'pull' a show from any source, it is still called taping. Whatever source it comes from or goes into.

Ha ha - I'll one up ya:

DAT (Digital Audio Tape) tape? I guess there are a few ways one could say it - recorded onto a DAT or recorded onto a blank DAT or recorded with a DAT cassette...

I've heard people refer to recording something, for instance, a TV show in the DVR or whatever, as "I taped it for ya". Even though there's no tape. Hey, it's all gotten twisted. Acronyms have become irrelevant - ATM machine, VIN number, PIN number, IM message, GPS system...it's a funny thing. Nobody says SUV vehicle, right? American's want to do more in less time, more with less, yet keep getting the tools to do more with less...but still do more with the less. Isn't that funny?

Well, to keep this in context, even Jimmy says ATM machine in a song. So does Bono.
