Okay I am embrassed to admidt it - but my inlaws, who are slowly becoming Buffett converts asked me last week who is Gardener McKay, and I don't know. Does anyone have an answer? I know the name appears in more than one of Jimmy's songs.

Actually, wasn't the boat 'Kontiki' and it was supposed to be the kind of boat the early Pacific islanders had used to travel?

There was a Kon-Tiki, but it wasn't Gardner's boat. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kon-Tiki It was Thor Heyerdahl, who crossed the pacific in it...
