it was 21 and I'm thinking someone on this site has a picture as their avatar, or maybe in their signature.

is it interesting that he turns 60 in 06? or is that just me?

Last year at Wrigley, the shirt he wore had the number 22 on it.

At the Fenway show I saw people with 21 on their Red Sox Buffett Jersey (like in Zuke's avatar) but that's cause 21 holds significance with Red Sox fans. I would pick a Cubby's number that every cubs fan knows.... maybe #14 for Ernie Banks? Just a thought.
And now I must confess, I could use some rest... I can't run at this pace very long.

I don't know if 22 has a significance to Buffett, but I think of Bill Buckner when I see that number...and he had some really good years in Chicago. The fact that Jimmy wore a number 22 Cubs jersey would make me put that at or near the top of the list. Neat idea! :D

True, not as much as 9, or 8. But possibly more mainstream. 9 and 8 are kinda like "diehard" Red Sox numbers for guys like me and you. 21 is for mainstram red sox fans. In my humble opinion.

True......but since he didn't win a WS...and pitched for the Yankees and Toronto and Houston...i wonder if 18 or 34 would be more popular!!!........i think of signifacant #'s who play there whole career with one team or a Majority of there playing days and retiring with that team!! Like a Babe Ruth!!!
