How Old Is Too Old To See Buffett?

by CheeseHead in Paradise!
My three sibblings and I have been attending Buffett concerts annually for nearly 15 years. As a result, our Mother has learned the words or can at least hum along to most Buffett songs.
A while back, she mentioned she would like to go to a Buffett show, but wouldn't dare because of her age (67). She is afraid she would be "out of place and look silly". I just can't seem to convince her this is simply not the case. She's groovin' lady and I know she would have a good time. Anyway, I bought her a ticket with our group and will present it on Mothers Day! I just hope she will go!

Few years back....sometime in the 90's...I was in Orlando to see Buffett and the family behind me in line had Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mom, Son , and Keets...
Five generations!
It was awesome!
You're only old if you think you are...

If I can go, nobody is too old.

I'm bringing 3 virgins this year....ages 50, 49, and 15.
There is NO set age. Anyone with the right spirit can enjoy it!

Shoot! You're never too old!! ETP's mom ("Mommin"

) has been to several shows in the last couple of years. And since it's not proper to ask a lady's age

, I'll just say she's a senior citizen.

Obviously the latter is not the offspring of the first two..
Bring me when I'm dead!

As long as you love it, why NOT go!?? Age is not the factor.
The passion for Jimmy and his music is...
Heck, when I die, bring my ashes and let me loose. LOL
But save some of me for the Caribbean...

I see lots of people her age and older at Alpine... no worries mon! I'd just hope you have a pavilion seat for her, that lawn might be tough on her... not just the slope, but the full body contact for most of the show.
I hope to see you both!

Just because someone's elderly doesn't mean they don't like to "polish belt buckles" anymore. Just be sure to tell Grandma to look for the fella wearing the Viagra Test Dummy t-shirt, she'll know what ya mean.

she should go & have a great time!!! My mom is going to her first concert this summer - not far behind at 60...... I warned her about the parking lot, and explained about starting the tailgate before noon though, to give her a heads up about what to expect!

In the last few years I have taken my mother, who is 76 this year, twice. As many have said you are never too old. She had seen him before, without me and fit right in. We sat in the first 20 rows both times and she was up dancing and having a great time. About 4 years ago I brought two virgins, my 60 something year old mother in law and 3 year old son. We had 10th row seats and they were both dancing and having a great time. In my opinion there is not an age limit, in either direction, for a Buffett show.

My grandmother was 66 when she sent to her first show two years ago. She told me this winter she wanted to go to another one in the next couple years.

The older I get the further out "too old" for anything gets!!
Honestly, I don't think there is "too old" for too many things.....and really, is it even possible to look silly at a Buffett concert???

She's way too old. You should give me her ticket.

Mental age and physical age are two different things. I sat next to a woman at a Lynyrd Skynyrd/ZZ Top concert who was easily in her in mid 70s. Her best quote, "These boys are loud, but not as loud as Aerosmith!"

My husband is a young 65 and still goes occasionally. He avoids the lawn tho so, like Tiki says, I hope you got pavilion seats. She'll enjoy seeing all the craziness of the day.
Las Vegas would make a nice place for sisters and mom to go on a trip. We can always hope for the October!
