Mom and Dad are on an anti "stuff" crusade
no more stuff for gifts.. and my Mom would be offended if I bought
flowers..
So I am going out Saturday (She will spend all day Sunday in church)
and cooking Dinner.. I will also cook Friday night
and freeze a couple of meals for Mom and Dad
Mom only knows about the dinner. not the frozen meals.
Yeah, I believe the parents like it more when you do stuff with/for them and spend time with them. I'm taking my mom and dad to a Atlanta Braves game on mothers day. It's what she's been wanting to do for a long time.

You did very well Wayne
I think mom's like nice gestures more than "stuff".
My daughter is taking me to Margaritaville to see Sunny Jim on the Porch of Indecision
My Mom really enjoys it when we go to her church with her, and then go to her house to eat lunch and spend some time with her. I think cooking for her is great idea. One year we took my Mom and Dad out to eat on Mother's Day. I would love it if someone would cook for me on Mother's Day or any day for that matter!!!!

You did good...you listened to what Mom wanted.
I wimped....I went with a pajama-gram....because my mom likes nice pj's....they had her favorite style, in her favorite color with her favorite motif (she likes polka dots)..doesn't buy presents too often for herself, so she likes 'stuff' from others (namely me) and the last time I bought her flowers (which she also loves) she ended up in the hospital...trying to avoid that again!

My mom told me all she wants for Mother's Day is for me to go to her and dad's tomorrow evening and spend Friday night and Saturday night with her and go to Sunday school and church with her Sunday morning. I agreed! (And I gave up a chance to see Peter Mayer in the process..) I am such a good daughter. My advice is do what you can while you still have your parents around. Live with no regrets.

Yep. Trust me. You'll be glad you did.
