I've been waiting for three years for someone to harvest said bamboo and build me a tiki bar.....it ain't gonna happen. If it doesn't have a v-twin engine attached to it, it's not getting built around here. I've come to the conclusion if I really want a tiki bar, I'm going to have to buy one. This one is the closest I've found to what I want......

Good enough. Fortunately we have no shortage of bamboo in these parts.

Hook up a v-twin to a giant blender, and make super-sized boat drinks. :D

I've been wondering if anyone's seen or gotten one of these yet. Thanks for the update!!

I wasn't sure if I'd be purchasing (tho I thought what could be a more appropriate 40th bday present for myself!), but I've wanted to see it, and haven't yet at my Sam's. However, it appears a phone call is in order!

Tiki Bar is Open

Post by andrewsjerrypat »

If you have a Target Store in your area, they have a similar one (not as Big as Sams) for $269.00 plus the stools are two in a box for $49.
We got one and it looks great. Only problem were the stools. We had to buy 12 stools to find two good ones which we put by the bar and kept two more that were marginal.

P.S. We put ours inside our home (those Oklahoma winds would tear it apart)

Yeah...I was wondering if they offered you a nice discount for all the trouble you went to...seems like a not-so-smart materials decision. :-?

Where was it made? And, if not in the US, I wonder what else you've imported. :o

No matter, you can now go into the drug business...well, antibiotics, anyway. You should have several usable cultures to start production....

My Sam's Club finally got these in... the display shows no signs of mold or problems, but I didn't ask anyone about it. And it looked and felt pretty darn sturdy! I just wonder what kind of lasting durability it would have.

Sooooooo tempting! :D I'd love it!

Before you buy - check out this one at Home Depot. I believe it is made out of teak. Not quite a tiki bar, but has a good look to it.
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

There was one in Target in Waukesha that had Tequilatom's eye. (it was even in a tone that matched his peanut butter collection. :D)

Yep, as a Target employee I can tell you we have a pretty sweet bamboo tiki bar. $199 I believe, and well worth the money.

I havent seen any returns on them, so it seems like a good buy.

Imagine what that would look like with some parrothead decorations! :o

I bought that one a couple of months ago and it is pretty nice. I had the same problem with mold on it, although I don't think to near the extent that the original poster did. Mainly just on the joints where parts had been glued together. But I just cleaned them carefully and put the thing together. Its nothing fancy but I think it's a pretty decent deal. Now I just have to get creative decorating it. :D
